About this role
Managing vehicle access and parking across Olympic venues requires someone who can build systems before the Games and execute them under pressure. At LA28, you'd work alongside the VAPP Manager to design and run the permit allocation program—handling stakeholder requests, maintaining accurate records, developing training materials, and eventually leading live operational support during the 2028 Games. This role bridges planning and execution; you'll spend the pre-Games years establishing processes and communication protocols, then shift into real-time problem-solving when venues open.
You'll need at least four years in transportation, logistics, or operations, with strong Excel skills and comfort learning LA28's dedicated tools. The role demands clear communication across all levels, the ability to prioritize competing demands, and sound judgment when making quick decisions about access issues. Experience with large-scale events, inventory management, or team leadership would strengthen your candidacy, as would fluency in Spanish or French given Los Angeles's diverse stakeholder base.
Based in Downtown LA and working in an open office environment, you'll be on-site full-time with variable hours during peak periods. The salary range is $73,000–$98,000. This is a hands-on role for someone who values accuracy and ownership, and who wants direct exposure to how a major international event actually operates.
