About this role
Chisholm Trail Veterinary Clinic in New Braunfels is building out its team with a full-time Veterinary Technician who will handle the full spectrum of companion and large animal care. You'd be involved in surgery assistance and anesthesia monitoring, lab work and diagnostics, patient handling, and the day-to-day clinical support that keeps a busy practice running. The role emphasizes learning and mentorship in a supportive environment, so there's room to develop skills and take on more responsibility as you grow.
The clinic values hands-on experience and is willing to invest in your credentials—they offer tuition reimbursement for accredited vet tech programs, paid license fees, and a generous CE allowance. An LVT is preferred but not required, and prior experience with anesthesia, blood draws, or lab work is a plus. You'll need to be comfortable with physical demands: lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and being on your feet for extended periods. The compensation runs 16–20 per hour, backed by a solid benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, a 401(k) match, and PTO.
This is a good fit if you're drawn to varied clinical work, want mentorship to strengthen your skills, and are looking for an employer willing to support your professional development through education and continuing education.
