About this role
Marksman Security is hiring an unarmed retail security officer to patrol and protect City Crest Condominium in Salt Lake City. The role centers on exterior visibility and deterrence—conducting foot and vehicle patrols of parking lots, walkways, loading docks, and perimeter areas while monitoring for suspicious behavior, unauthorized access, and safety hazards. You'll respond to incidents and alarms, document reports, inspect security infrastructure, and support loss-prevention efforts around deliveries and back-of-house zones. Customer interaction is built into the work; you'll assist guests and tenants with directions and escorts while maintaining a professional, calm presence.
The position requires a current unarmed security license from DOPL, high school diploma, and solid computer skills including Microsoft Office or Google Workspace. Report writing experience and familiarity with surveillance monitoring are essential. You'll need to be comfortable multitasking, working collaboratively with dispatch and onsite management, and passing a background check and drug screen. The role also involves event coverage and crowd management during high-traffic periods.
At $21 per hour, full-time, the position includes paid time off, paid holidays, medical and dental insurance, and opportunities for advancement. Marksman was recognized as a Top Workplace by USA Today in 2024 and 2025. Bilingual skills are a plus.
