About this role

At WPP Media, this supervisor role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution within a media planning team. You'd partner closely with a Director on communication plan development while overseeing the day-to-day work of Associate-level staff, making you responsible for both client deliverables and team development. The position requires deep fluency across digital and traditional media channels, hands-on experience with planning and buying tools like MediaOcean and Prisma, and the ability to translate client business needs into media recommendations backed by data and analysis.

The role demands someone who can operate independently in a deadline-driven environment while managing multiple stakeholder relationships—from internal teams to external agency and media partners. You'll own media financial accountability, train staff on both media disciplines and client-specific industry knowledge, and serve as the primary bridge between planning and buying functions. A background of 3-4 years in media agency strategy or planning is expected, along with a degree in advertising, marketing, business administration, or communications (or equivalent experience).

This is an in-office position in New York with a salary range of $60,000 to $140,000. WPP Media emphasizes professional development, collaborative culture, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, retirement plans, and significant paid time off.
