About this role

Leading Acme Markets' bakery operation in Butte means managing both the craft and the business side of a high-volume department. You'd oversee production planning, merchandising, and a team of bakery associates while maintaining strict food safety standards and driving sales performance. The role blends hands-on involvement—you'll work directly with baking, decorating, and production—with operational management like scheduling, inventory control, and shrink reduction. Customer service is central; you'll handle special orders, resolve concerns, and create an environment where quality and freshness are visible priorities.

This position suits someone with bakery production experience who's ready to step into management. You'll need strong coaching skills to develop associates, comfort with data analysis to inform planning decisions, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment where you're lifting up to 50 pounds and working across temperature zones. The role demands flexibility—early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays are part of the schedule.

Acme Markets offers competitive weekly pay, associate discounts, health and financial benefits for eligible employees, paid time off, and support for career development. There's no travel required, and the position is full-time, in-office in Butte.
