Because we own the network we build on, the problems you'll solve here are bigger, more complex, and more impactful. And as communications shifts to AI, we're the infrastructure layer making it possible.

We call ourselves BANDmates because building something this big takes collaboration, different perspectives, and the freedom to bring your authentic self to the table.

What We Are Looking For:

Bandwidth is looking for a Sales Account Manager to take over an established book of about 350 SMB customers, worth roughly $8MM in annual recurring revenue. Half the job is protecting what we have: keeping customers healthy, responsive, and confident in Bandwidth. The other half is finding where they could do more with us. That means moving smaller accounts upmarket and winning traffic that large customers are still sending to competitors. Your success is measured on the performance of your book, so judging where to spend your time matters nearly as much as how you sell.

What You'll Do:

  • Take ownership of an existing book of ~350 SMB accounts, roughly $8MM ARR, as the primary point of contact.
  • Use account data (spend trends, product mix, and usage volume) to decide which accounts need attention, which have room to grow, and which are at risk.
  • Protect and grow the total revenue of your book. Retain existing spend, catch risk early, and expand where there's opportunity.
  • Move customers upmarket through product expansion and winning a larger share of wallet from customers who use multiple providers.
  • Build relationships with several contacts at each key account, from technical stakeholders to business decision-makers.
  • Learn each customer's communications needs across voice, phone numbers, E911, and messaging. Find opportunities to up-sell and cross-sell the right Bandwidth products.
  • Keep your pipeline and forecast accurate, and keep account records in Salesforce clean.
  • Work with internal partners to solve customer issues and move deals forward.
  • Achieve an assigned quota measured against the total revenue of your book.

What You Need:

  • 2–3 years of closing or BDR experience with a track record of hitting targets
  • The ability to manage a high-volume book without letting important accounts slip
  • Comfort using data to prioritize your time and build a case for customers
  • Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain technical products simply
  • A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred)

Bonus Points:

  • Experience in SaaS, CPaaS, telecom, or UCaaS sales
  • Familiarity with voice and messaging concepts such as SIP trunking, number porting, 10DLC, or E911. We'll teach you what you don't know.
  • Experience with Salesforce and BI tools such as Sigma

The Whole Person Promise:

At Bandwidth, we’re pretty proud of our corporate culture, which is rooted in our “Whole Person Promise.” We promise all employees that they can have meaningful work AND a full life, and we provide a work environment geared toward enriching your body, mind, and spirit. How do we do that? Well…

  • 100% company-paid Medical, Vision, & Dental coverage for you and your family with low deductibles and low out-of-pocket expenses.
  • All new hires receive four weeks of PTO.
  • PTO Embargo. When you take time off (of any kind!) you’re embargoed from working. Bandmates and managers are not allowed to interrupt your PTO – not even with email.
  • Additional PTO can be earned throughout the year through volunteer hours and Bandwidth challenges.
  • “Mahalo moments” program grants additional time off for life’s most important moments like graduations, buying a first home, getting married, wedding anniversaries (every five years), and the birth of a grandchild.
  • 90-Minute Workout Lunches and unlimited meetings with our very own nutritionist.

Are you excited about the position and its responsibilities, but not sure if you’re 100% qualified? Do you feel you can work to help us crush the mission? If you answered ‘yes’ to both of these questions, we encourage you to apply! You won’t want to miss the opportunity to be a part of the BAND.

About this role

Bandwidth is seeking a Sales Account Manager to own and grow an established portfolio of roughly 350 small-to-medium business customers generating $8MM in annual recurring revenue. You'd serve as the primary point of contact for these accounts, balancing retention and expansion work in equal measure. The role requires you to use account data—spend trends, product usage, usage volume—to identify which customers need attention, which are at risk, and where growth opportunities exist. You'll move smaller accounts upmarket by expanding their product mix and capturing a larger share of wallet from those using multiple providers, while building relationships across technical and business stakeholders at each key account.

Success depends on your ability to manage high volume without losing sight of important accounts and your judgment about where to invest your time. You'll maintain accurate forecasts and clean Salesforce records, work cross-functionally to solve customer problems, and hit an assigned quota tied to your book's total revenue. The role calls for 2–3 years of closing or BDR experience with a track record of hitting targets, strong data literacy, and the ability to explain technical products (voice, messaging, E911, SIP trunking, number porting) in straightforward terms. SaaS, CPaaS, or telecom sales experience and familiarity with Salesforce and BI tools are valuable but not required.

This is an in-office volunteer position based in Raleigh, North Carolina. Bandwidth offers comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage, four weeks of PTO with a no-interruption policy during time off, and additional PTO earned through volunteer hours and company challenges.
