We’re hiring Caregivers - compassionate team members who provide hands-on support to residents living with Alzheimer’s, dementia, and other memory-impairing conditions. This role blends empathy, reliability, and relationship-building to create meaningful moments every day.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Provide compassionate care and assistance with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, dining, etc.)
- Build meaningful relationships with residents, families, and fellow team members
- Support residents with memory impairments in a safe, respectful, and engaging environment
- Maintain accurate care records and report changes to the nursing team
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED, or educational equivalent preferred
- Experience caring for individuals with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or other debilitating conditions (preferred but not required)
- Reliable transportation to meet attendance and punctuality standards
- Effective communicator in verbal and written English
- Active role: walking, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
- Comfortable working around animals and pets

About this role
Silverado Alexandria is seeking a part-time caregiver for overnight shifts (Sunday, Monday, Friday, Saturday) to provide direct care to residents living with Alzheimer's, dementia, and other memory-impairing conditions. You'd assist with daily living activities—bathing, dressing, grooming, and dining—while building meaningful relationships with residents and their families. The role requires you to maintain a safe, respectful environment, document care accurately, and communicate changes to the nursing team.
This position suits someone with a compassionate approach to elder care and the physical stamina for active work: walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Prior experience with memory care or dementia is preferred but not required. You'll need reliable transportation, strong English communication skills, and comfort around pets.
