About this role
Gibson Dunn's Houston office is seeking a temporary Office Services Clerk to manage the operational backbone of a fast-paced law firm environment. The role centers on document services—copying, binding, scanning, and Bates stamping—alongside mail room operations and facilities oversight. You'll maintain detailed logs of inspections and service issues, monitor equipment functionality, and handle the logistical coordination that keeps a large office running smoothly. The position also requires backing up reception and managing catering for client meetings and firm events, meaning you'll need to balance precision work in the copy room with client-facing responsibilities and the ability to set up conference spaces on short notice.
Success in this role demands strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and genuine reliability in a high-volume setting. You should be comfortable standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and adapting to a flexible schedule that may include evenings, early mornings, or weekends when special events or emergencies arise. Experience in a law firm or similar professional environment is valued, though a high school diploma and solid customer service instincts are the baseline requirements.
The position offers $25–28 per hour depending on your background, along with health coverage, retirement benefits, paid time off including sick leave and vacation, parental leave, life insurance, and performance-based bonuses. This is a temporary placement reporting to the Director of Administration.
