About this role

Frazier & Deeter's Assurance Internship places you directly into client work rather than behind a desk. You'll operate as an associate on real engagements spanning multiple industries—from startups to Fortune 500 companies—handling substantive audit tasks like planning procedures, balance sheet and income statement testing, and audit reporting. This means hands-on experience from your first week, working alongside seniors and managers who provide ongoing feedback and coaching.

The role expects you to be mobile and collaborative. You'll travel to client sites, communicate across teams to keep engagements moving, support ad hoc projects, and build relationships with both colleagues and clients. A buddy system and performance manager ensure you have support and clear career direction throughout the internship, while firm events and networking opportunities help you integrate into the broader organization.

This internship suits someone ready to test whether public accounting is the right path, with the maturity to work independently on client deliverables while still learning. If you want exposure to real audit work and a firm that emphasizes mentorship and culture alongside technical skill-building, this Nashville-based, in-office role offers genuine entry-level responsibility.
