About this role

CLEAR is seeking someone to lead the operational backbone of its Member Care organization—the systems, workflows, and tools that enable agents to resolve customer issues efficiently. In this role, you'd own the Member Care technology ecosystem (Zendesk, conversational AI, automation, routing) and act as the critical bridge between frontline teams and Product and Engineering. You'll diagnose operational friction through data analysis, translate agent feedback into prioritized improvements, and ensure new products and policies roll out smoothly with the right tools and processes in place.

This is hands-on work that requires both technical depth and cross-functional leadership. You'll configure and optimize contact center platforms, monitor AI performance metrics, run pilots to test workflow improvements, and drive adoption of changes across the organization. Success means measurable gains in automated resolution rates, reduced manual effort for agents, and on-time readiness for company initiatives. The role demands 7+ years in contact center operations, CX technology, or operational excellence, with direct experience configuring platforms like Zendesk or Salesforce and fluency in data analysis tools like Looker.

Based in New York City and reporting to the Senior Director of Member Care, you'll work in an in-office environment with a team motivated by CLEAR's mission. The salary range is $145,000–$175,000, with benefits including comprehensive healthcare, flexible time off, wellness stipends, and a 401(k) match, plus potential bonuses and equity.
