About this role
Trilon Group is hiring a Traffic Analysis Project Engineer to support its expansion of transportation engineering services across the Mid-Atlantic and Carolinas region. You'd work in-office in Raleigh on real infrastructure projects, handling traffic analysis and engineering calculations using industry-standard software like Synchro/SimTraffic and HCS. The role blends hands-on technical work with project coordination—you'll move projects from initial analysis through permitting and delivery, communicate progress to stakeholders, and gradually take on leadership responsibilities as you develop.
The position suits someone with a civil engineering background (E.I. certificate preferred, or an associate degree in a related field) and 0–4 years of experience in the A/E/C industry. You'll need strong skills in Microsoft Office, solid project management fundamentals, and the ability to write clearly and communicate effectively across teams and with clients. As you grow, you'll mentor junior staff and lead coordination on smaller to mid-size projects, making this a genuine career-building role rather than a static position.
Trilon offers a comprehensive benefits package including competitive base salary, strong PTO and holiday schedules, a 401(k) match, tuition reimbursement, mentorship and formal career development tracks, and standard health coverage. The company also provides parental leave, disability coverage, and an employee assistance program.
