THE ROLE

As a Customer Success Solutions Engineer (CSSE), you will drive technical adoption, operational readiness, and time-to-value across the Evergreen//One customer lifecycle. Serving as a founding member of our Technical Success organization, you will act as the vital connective tissue between Customer Success, Product, Technical Services, Sales, and Revenue. You will be the technical authority behind key customer relationships, transforming utilization, capacity, and performance telemetry into proactive actions that protect renewals and unlock expansion. In close partnership with Customer Success Managers and client technical leaders, you will resolve complex escalations while building scalable programs and tooling that power Everpure’s subscription growth.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Accelerate Adoption & Time-to-Value: Own technical onboarding and operational readiness across the Evergreen//One fleet to ensure customers rapidly achieve business outcomes and reach steady-state performance.
  • Manage Fleet Health & Risk: Monitor enterprise storage telemetry across active customer environments, setting intervention thresholds to proactively resolve capacity, performance, and compliance risks before they impact operations.
  • Drive Renewals & Expansion: Deliver data-driven technical evaluations and utilization insights that inform contract milestones, identify coverage gaps, and surface expansion opportunities.
  • Enable Teams & Validate Capabilities: Author technical playbooks and best practices to equip Customer Success Managers and clients, while validating operational workflows for new Everpure Platform capabilities ahead of field release.
  • Lead Cross-Functional Escalations: Provide technical leadership during critical escalations, coordinating across Product Management, Support, and Engineering to deliver swift resolution.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Experience: 3+ years of Solution Engineering, Sales Engineering or Hardware Engineering experience
  • Technical & Domain Expertise: Deep hands-on experience in enterprise storage or data infrastructure, with proven capability in assessing system utilization, capacity planning, and performance optimization for subscription or consumption models.
  • Program & Telemetry Mastery: Demonstrated ability to build and run repeatable customer onboarding programs, leverage health-scoring/telemetry platforms, and maintain rigorous data hygiene within CRM environments.
  • Cross-Functional Escalation Leadership: Ability to navigate high-stakes technical escalations and lead matrixed teams across Product, Engineering, and Sales to resolution without direct authority.
  • Strategic Business Communication: Strong communication skills with a track record of converting complex technical findings into clear, business-impact insights for executive stakeholders and customer leaders.

Location & Work Environment: We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Santa Clara office in compliance with Everpure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.

About this role

Pure Storage is seeking a Customer Success Solutions Engineer to serve as a technical bridge across their growing Evergreen//One subscription platform. You'll own the technical side of customer onboarding and lifecycle management, working directly with enterprise clients to ensure they achieve business outcomes quickly and operate their storage systems optimally. This is a founding role within a newly formed Technical Success organization, meaning you'll have significant influence in shaping how the team operates and scales.

The work spans several interconnected responsibilities: accelerating customer adoption through technical readiness programs, monitoring fleet health via telemetry to catch capacity and performance issues before they become problems, and translating utilization data into renewal and expansion opportunities. You'll also lead escalations across Product, Engineering, and Support when complex issues arise, and build the playbooks and tools that enable your Customer Success peers to operate independently. This role demands someone comfortable operating without direct authority but with clear technical credibility.

You'll need at least three years in Solution Engineering, Sales Engineering, or Hardware Engineering, with deep hands-on knowledge of enterprise storage, capacity planning, and subscription-based consumption models. Strong cross-functional leadership, the ability to distill technical complexity into business impact for executives, and experience building repeatable programs and maintaining data hygiene in CRM systems are essential. This is an in-office contract position based in the Santa Clara area, with a salary range of $126,000–$189,000 and potential eligibility for incentive pay and equity.
