About this role
At Flora Food Group's Hugoton facility, you would oversee daily maintenance operations and lead a nine-person team on the B shift, directly shaping the reliability of production equipment that processes culinary ingredients for kitchens nationwide. Your focus would span preventive maintenance programs, urgent breakdown repairs, and root cause analysis to minimize downtime and improve mean time between failures. You'd own measurable performance metrics—maintenance compliance, equipment reliability, schedule adherence—and use data to drive continuous gains in plant throughput and operational efficiency.
This role demands hands-on troubleshooting expertise in electrical and mechanical systems, including PLC platforms like Allen Bradley or Siemens, combined with proven leadership in manufacturing maintenance environments. You'll coordinate closely with production teams across shifts, communicate maintenance priorities clearly, and build a motivated team culture centered on accountability and continuous learning. The position reports to the Maintenance Manager and offers a clear path toward broader operational leadership as Maintenance Manager or Senior Maintenance Manager.
Flora Food Group values genuine curiosity about food production and how equipment performance connects to taste, nutrition, and product quality. If you have a track record of improving equipment reliability and can lead teams effectively under pressure, this on-site, full-time role offers the chance to strengthen plant operations while growing into larger maintenance strategy responsibilities.
