About this role

Avenue Consultants' Finance team is seeking an experienced invoicing professional to manage client billing for engineering and consulting projects in their Taylorsville office. This role requires someone who has spent at least two years actively preparing and issuing invoices—not just processing payments—ideally with exposure to complex, project-based or hourly billing that demands supporting documentation. You'll own the full invoicing lifecycle while coordinating closely with project managers and finance staff, and training specific to Avenue's processes will be provided once you're onboarded.

Beyond invoicing, the position encompasses a broader set of administrative and financial responsibilities: reconciling expense reports and credit card receipts, verifying subconsultant invoices for accuracy and compliance, managing contracts, and maintaining organized filing systems and databases. You'll need strong Excel proficiency (pivot tables, lookups, data reconciliation) and comfort with Microsoft Office across the board. This is a detail-oriented role that demands independence, the ability to juggle multiple priorities under pressure, and clear communication with both internal teams and external clients.

The position offers solid benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, generous PTO and paid holidays, 401(k) matching, and bonus opportunities. This is a full-time, in-office role suited to someone who thrives in structured administrative work and wants to deepen expertise in project-based billing within a consulting environment.
