About this role

VCCP Roar's Broadcast team is launching this new Account Director role to fuel growth, and it's split between two distinct halves of the job. You'll spend roughly 40% managing client relationships and campaign operations—shaping broadcast stories, negotiating talent, overseeing content production, managing budgets, and delivering results against KPIs. The remaining 60% is business development: hunting and winning new broadcast clients, leading pitch proposals, and building the agency's reputation through case studies and awards submissions. You'd work across broadcast-only projects and integrated campaigns alongside PR and media teams, reporting to senior leadership.

The role demands someone with recent account management or senior account executive experience in a broadcast agency, backed by a genuine track record of winning new business and growing revenue. You'll need strong presentation and negotiation skills, deep knowledge of broadcast journalism and what makes stories land with top-tier producers, and the ability to manage both junior team members and high-profile clients like Formula 1, Barbie, and Tourism Australia. The culture here values collaboration, entrepreneurial thinking, honesty, and hands-on hustle—they're looking for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, takes pride in their work, and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves.
