About this role
NextLaw, a rapidly growing criminal and personal injury firm in Tacoma, is seeking an Intake Specialist to serve as the first point of contact for clients navigating some of life's most difficult moments. You'll handle 10–15 intake calls daily, qualify leads through consultative conversations, address concerns about pricing and payment plans, and follow up strategically to convert interactions into signed cases. Beyond call handling, you'll help build and refine the firm's intake systems—templates, messaging cadence, and follow-up processes—working closely with attorneys and staff to ensure no lead falls through the cracks.
This role demands 1–3 years of legal intake experience, ideally in personal injury or criminal law, paired with genuine sales ability and confidence in objection handling. You'll need strong organizational skills, comfort with Clio case management software, and the capacity to juggle multiple leads while maintaining meticulous records. Spanish fluency is valued. The firm values problem solvers with a learning mindset—people who see inefficiencies as opportunities to innovate rather than obstacles to accept.
NextLaw offers genuine autonomy to shape how intake functions, a clear path into leadership, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, four weeks of PTO, a 401(k) with immediate 4% matching, and covered parking. If you thrive when your work directly influences both client outcomes and firm growth, and you're energized rather than drained by high-volume client interaction, this is worth your application.
