About this role

ARCO's Innovation group is looking for an experienced BIM Coordinator to work in-office in Chicago on a volunteer basis. You'll serve as a key player in construction coordination, working across multiple project types with teams nationwide. You'll also champion BIM processes, pilot VDC technology, and collaborate with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to build and refine BIM Execution Plans.

The position calls for four to six years of project coordination experience and advanced proficiency in ACC, Revit, NavisWorks, and AutoCAD. You should have a solid grasp of BIM workflows, basic construction processes, and strong analytical and communication skills—plus the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently from project kickoff through completion. A degree in engineering or architecture is preferred but equivalent work experience qualifies.

While this is a volunteer role, the company offers substantial benefits including performance-based bonuses, 100% company-funded retirement contributions, tuition reimbursement, paid sabbaticals, and comprehensive health coverage.
