About this role

ACT1 Federal is seeking an Air Liaison Officer / Tactical Air Control Party subject matter expert to support the 505th Combat Maneuver Training Center's Warfighter Exercises at Fort Leavenworth. In this hybrid role, you would serve as the bridge between air and ground components during large-scale joint training events, ensuring realistic air-ground integration across JTF, Corps, and Division levels. Your work would span exercise design, planning conferences, and real-time execution control, with responsibilities including coordinating between air operations centers, tactical air control parties, and Army maneuver staffs while advising senior leaders and training audiences on joint fires, airspace coordination, and tactical air control processes.

The ideal candidate brings recent operational or planning experience in air-ground integration roles—whether as an ALO, TACP, ASOC/JAGIC, or equivalent—along with demonstrated expertise in TACS/AAGS systems and joint exercise support. You'll need solid knowledge of Air Force and Army command-and-control systems, joint fires processes, and Army Mission Command integration, plus the ability to work effectively with senior military leaders across both services. A bachelor's degree is preferred, and an active Secret clearance (with ability to obtain TS/SCI) is required.

This is a full-time position with 10–20% travel and occasional forward deployments with training audiences. You'll support 24-hour exercise operations as needed. ACT1 Federal, a 100% employee-owned DoD contractor with nearly three decades of service, offers comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision coverage, an ESOP, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and professional development support. Note that this role is contingent upon contract award.
