People are the heart and soul of 6sense. We serve with passion and purpose. We live by our Being 6sense values of Win as One Team, Stay Curious, Do The Right Thing, Own the Outcome, and Create Belonging. Every 6sensor plays a part in defining the future of our industry-leading technology. 6sense is a place where difference-makers roll up their sleeves, take risks, act with integrity, and measure success by the value we create for our customers. We want 6sense to be the best chapter of your career.
UX Researcher
6sense builds AI-driven products for B2B marketing and sales teams. Our research team helps decide what we build, and we have built AI research agents so product managers, product designers, and content designers can run more of their own studies. As a UX Researcher II, you will help make that self-serve research trustworthy and help it grow.
You will coach partners, triage requests by the risk of the decision at stake, build safeguards for AI-assisted research, and run focused studies where a researcher adds the most value. You will work in fast sprint cycles with product management, product design, content design, engineering, analytics, and R&D Operations.
Our market and our AI tools move quickly, and many questions arrive before the answers are clear. You will bring clarity to that work: well-framed questions, organized operations, and findings told as clear, honest stories that state plainly what we know, what we do not, and how confident we are.
Above all, we are looking for someone who is humble, adaptable, and teachable, and who never compromises on the truth. Tools, methods, and priorities will keep changing. Respect for evidence will not.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Partners with product managers, designers and engineers to scope and conduct qualitative and quantitative research that deliver actionable insights and product recommendations.
- Designs studies to be as efficient as possible without negatively impacting rigor.
- Creates research reports that are clear, concise, compelling, and actionable.
- Guides Product Managers and Designers in conducting their own user research, including recommending the right methodologies for specific initiatives and sharing best practices.
- Help standup and run measurement programs like NPS.
- Support vendor management and research operations. Evaluate new vendor features worth adopting.
Educational and Experience Requirements
- 2-4 years of UX research experience in a product development environment, ideally B2B SaaS or other complex products, with a portfolio or case studies that show studies you owned, how you told the story, and the decisions it informed.
- Excellent reading, writing, and speaking skills. You absorb dense technical, quantitative, and qualitative information, simplify it without losing accuracy, and tell a clear, compelling story that supports sound decisions. You also push back respectfully and use evidence to help a team align.
- Proven experience collaborating with product managers, designers, and engineers.
- Working knowledge of usability and mixed methods, with a clear approach to data analysis and measurement.
- Experience using AI tools in research, and a critical eye for hallucinations, unsupported claims, and weak reasoning. You verify before you share.
- Demonstrated proficiency in using industry-standard UX research tools, like Great Question, UserTesting, Dovetail, Qualtrics, Pendo.
- Exposure to B2B marketing, sales, or martech products. We will help you learn the domain.
Competencies and Behaviors
- Designs clear, efficient studies built around research goals and questions. Ensures research studies will yield actionable insights.
- Analyzes data using industry standards and statistics.
- Clearly connects research insights to overarching UX vision.
- Proficiency in survey design, including question wording, response scales, and techniques for reducing bias.
- Excellent communication skills whether writing, speaking informally, or presenting at all levels of the organization.
- Humility, adaptability, and teachability, shown in how you seek feedback, admit what you do not know, and adjust to change.
- Collaborative across disciplines and teams and takes a proactive approach to drive positive product outcomes.
- Plays an active role in providing feedback to peers to shape research studies.
- Comfort with ambiguity, and a track record of creating clarity through organized communication, documentation, and operations.
- Comfort with fast sprint cycles, several projects at once, and asynchronous work with a distributed team.
- Proactively adapts to changing tooling and workflows to find more efficient and effective ways of working.

About this role
At 6sense, you'd be shaping how the company's AI-driven B2B marketing and sales products actually get built. The research team here has unusual leverage—you're not just informing decisions, you're also helping product managers and designers run their own studies through AI research agents. As a UX Researcher II, you'd balance two sides of that work: coaching internal partners on methodology and building safeguards around AI-assisted research, while running deeper studies yourself where a trained researcher makes the real difference. You'd work across product, design, engineering, analytics, and R&D in fast sprint cycles, turning messy questions into clear findings that state plainly what you know, what remains uncertain, and how confident you are.
The role demands 2–4 years of UX research in product development, ideally in B2B SaaS or complex products, with a portfolio showing studies you owned and the decisions they shaped. You'll need strong mixed-methods chops, hands-on experience with tools like Dovetail, UserTesting, or Qualtrics, and a critical eye for AI hallucinations and unsupported claims. Your writing and speaking skills matter as much as your research skills—you're constantly simplifying dense information and pushing back respectfully with evidence. Exposure to martech, sales, or marketing products is a plus but learnable.
This is a fit if you're humble and adaptable, comfortable with ambiguity and fast-changing priorities, and someone who never compromises on the truth. The base salary ranges from $94,500 to $138,600, and the role is full-time and in-office in Austin.
