About this role
citizenM's operations team in Leiden is seeking an intern to support hotel rooms operations across their global network for at least six months starting January or February 2027. You'd work three days weekly from their modern office (just 500m from Leiden's central station) or on-site at hotels, with flexibility to accommodate your university schedule. The role blends hands-on support with analytical work: you'll assist with daily operations, help implement efficiency projects, analyze front desk and housekeeping data, audit compliance, and coordinate guest feedback initiatives while learning how hospitality operations actually function at scale.
The internship suits someone who's genuinely interested in problem-solving within hospitality, comfortable working independently, and eager to develop both operational and strategic thinking skills. You'll gain exposure to hotel systems, data analysis, quality management, and project coordination—practical knowledge that translates across the industry. The team values real collaboration, honest feedback, and people who care about both guest and employee experience, not just process.
Beyond the work itself, you'll have access to professional development programs, the latest tech, covered commuting costs, and a social team culture that includes everything from office food trucks to EU travel opportunities. The role requires fluent English, current university enrollment, and the right to work in the Netherlands.
