About this role

The Owl Centre is seeking a Talent Resourcer for a 12-month fixed-term contract to drive recruitment activity across the organisation. Based in Pontypool with hybrid flexibility (two days on-site weekly), you'll own the day-to-day sourcing and screening process, working closely with a Talent Partner to build and maintain strong candidate pipelines. Your responsibilities span the full recruitment lifecycle: proactively attracting talent through job boards and direct outreach, conducting initial telephone screenings, coordinating interviews, managing candidate communications, and ensuring a smooth onboarding experience for new starters.

Beyond sourcing, you'll be the central point of contact for candidates and internal teams alike. This means responding promptly to recruitment inbox queries, liaising with People, Compliance, and IT to resolve issues quickly, and coordinating the offer and pre-employment process to keep start dates on track. You'll also maintain accurate recruitment data through spreadsheet tracking, giving the wider team visibility into hiring performance and pipeline health.

The role suits someone with practical recruitment experience—ideally from a healthcare background—who is organised, detail-oriented, and genuinely interested in improving processes. You'll need proficiency with Excel, Word, and email/Teams, strong communication skills across phone and virtual meetings, and the initiative to tackle both day-to-day tasks and ad-hoc projects like EDI data collection or system reviews. A proactive, collaborative approach and alignment with The Owl Centre's values of teamwork, reliability, creativity, and passion will be essential.
