About this role

ACT1 Federal is seeking an Air Battle Manager to support joint military training exercises at Fort Leavenworth, working with Detachment 1, 505 CCW. You would integrate Air Force airspace command-and-control capabilities into Army MCTP Warfighter Exercises, serving as the technical and operational bridge between air and ground components across multiple echelons. This role demands deep expertise in TACS/AAGS networks, AOC systems, and the full spectrum of air operations centers and tactical air control parties—knowledge you'd apply during both planning and live exercise execution.

The position involves coordinating across functional specialties (AWACS, JSTARS, JACCE, TACP, and others), developing realistic air-ground integration scenarios, and working directly with senior Army and Air Force leaders to translate command intent into exercise design and control. You'll use TBMCS/C2CORE and exercise-planning tools to build and execute complex multi-echelon scenarios. Occasional forward deployments and conference travel (10–20%) are expected, and a Secret clearance is required.

This role suits someone with substantial operational ABM experience and proven familiarity with joint exercise environments, particularly MCTP events. You need the technical depth to understand theater airspace architecture and the leadership communication skills to influence planning at division level and above. ACT1 offers standard federal contractor benefits including ESOP participation, flexible work arrangements, and professional development support, though the position is contingent on contract award.
