About this role
VSC Fire & Security is looking for a Foreman to lead fire sprinkler installation teams across job sites in Charleston. You'd oversee daily operations—inspecting work methods, ensuring materials are handled correctly, reading and adapting plans to site conditions, and managing documentation like change orders. The role involves hands-on leadership of installation crews, sometimes coordinating multiple teams on larger projects, and conducting regular safety meetings to keep everyone aligned.
The position requires two to three years of hands-on experience in fire sprinkler installation, pipefitting, or fire protection work, plus the ability to read plans, communicate clearly with both crews and management, and set productivity goals that keep projects on schedule. You'll need a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record for the company vehicle. Desirable qualifications include a Journeyman pipefitter certification, First Aid/CPR, or OSHA 30, though these aren't required.
VSC offers competitive compensation starting at $28–$38 per hour depending on experience, with overtime eligibility, a company vehicle and fuel card, full health benefits, paid time off, life and disability insurance, and support for professional development including NICET certification reimbursement. This is a full-time, in-office role suited to someone with field experience who's ready to step into a leadership position and grow with a company that's been in business since 1958.
