Carrie L. Morris, MD, FACS is triple board-certified in oculofacial plastic surgery, cosmetic laser surgery, and ophthalmology, and is the area’s only board-certified cosmetic laser surgeon. Summary/Objective
We are looking for a PRN Surgical tech to work on Wednesdays and Thursdays (potentially other days as needed). The surgical tech functions as a cooperative team member in the operating room by handling the necessary instruments for surgery. This position can proactively anticipate the needs of the surgical team and be ready to aid when needed. Their duties revolve around the sterilization of the operating room, the equipment/tools within the operating room, and the circulating operating room staff.
Essential Duties/ Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensures sterility of supplies, instruments, and equipment while in the operating room.
- Assists surgical team in maintaining a sterile environment.
- Assists in gathering necessary surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment.
- Transports all surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment to appropriate cleaning areas.
- Assists in sterilization and cleaning of instrument sets.
- Gowns and gloves surgeons and assistants for the operating room.
- Follows all equipment and safety guidelines.
- Possess working knowledge of use and care of supplies, instruments, and equipment.
- Serves as a resource to other members within the operating room.
- Communicates effectively and courteously with staff and patients within the practice.
- Flexible schedule, operating days can start as early as 6 AM.
- Travel to multiple locations may be required.
License and Certifications
- Current BLS certification
- Current Surgical Technician Certification

Southern Coastal Aesthetics, a partner practice of Inspire Aesthetics Group, is seeking a PRN surgical technician to support their cosmetic and laser surgery operations in Gulf Shores. You would work primarily Wednesdays and Thursdays (with potential flexibility for other days), starting shifts as early as 6 AM. The practice specializes in facial aesthetics, hair restoration, and advanced laser procedures under the direction of a triple board-certified surgeon with nearly two decades of experience.
In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining sterile operating room conditions, preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment, and assisting the surgical team throughout procedures. Your day-to-day work includes gathering supplies, transporting instruments to cleaning areas, gowning surgeons and assistants, and serving as a knowledgeable resource to OR staff. The position requires you to anticipate team needs, follow strict safety and equipment protocols, and communicate effectively with both clinical staff and patients.
You'll need current BLS and Surgical Technician certifications to qualify. Be prepared for early starts and the possibility of traveling to multiple locations as part of this PRN arrangement.
