About this role

The City of Fort Worth Parks & Recreation Department is looking for an Athletics Program Assistant to support youth sports programming at the Sycamore Community Center. This part-time role, working seven hours per week at $18 per hour, involves hands-on coordination of youth games and leagues. You'd handle game logistics—keeping score, setting up and breaking down equipment, managing schedules, and distributing gear—while assisting the Youth Sports Programmers and staying current with league rules.

The position requires flexibility with a nontraditional schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays. You'll need a high school diploma or GED and be at least 18 years old (17 if you've graduated high school). The work is physically active, involving standing, lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, and repetitive motions. Experience playing or coaching organized sports—particularly soccer, basketball, or football—is preferred, as is bilingual fluency in English and Spanish. This role suits someone seeking part-time work in youth athletics without the expectation of benefits, who can commit to variable hours supporting the community's recreational programs.
