About this role

Kayzen's Platform Engineering team is building the real-time infrastructure that powers a global mobile advertising platform handling 160B+ daily ad requests. As a Senior Software Engineer, you'd own critical components including the real-time bidding system, budget engine, event processing, and data pipelines—working across the full stack from low-level systems optimization to distributed architecture design. The role demands someone who can design and maintain highly scalable systems, assemble complex datasets from diverse sources, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating closely with data scientists, analysts, and product teams.

You'll need at least five years building distributed systems with strong Java fundamentals, deep knowledge of multithreading and JVM internals, and solid grounding in databases (both SQL and NoSQL), algorithms, and operating systems. Hands-on experience with modern AI development tools and comfort in Unix/Linux environments are expected. Prior work in ad-tech or machine learning is valued, as is proficiency in C++ or Go.

The company offers remote work from India with a distributed team across multiple countries, a $500 home-office budget, $1,000 annual learning budget, and direct access to leadership. This is a chance to work on genuinely large-scale systems with experienced founders and entrepreneurs reshaping the ad-tech space.
