About this role
Mountain Warehouse is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to lead its Transactional Finance function—a team of 25+ handling high-volume payments, receipts and settlements across retail stores, ecommerce and card processing. Based in London on a hybrid arrangement, you'll own the full transactional finance operation, from accounts payable and receivable through to month-end close, while driving financial controls, system improvements and process automation. This is a visible leadership role with genuine scope to shape how the function evolves as the business grows.
The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in senior transactional finance or shared services roles, ideally in retail or ecommerce, with strong technical grounding in AP, AR, bank reconciliations and financial controls. You'll need proven leadership capability to build and develop your team, alongside analytical skills to interpret data and drive decision-making. The role demands resilience and organisation—you'll manage complex escalations, partner across retail, ecommerce and customer service teams, oversee third-party providers, and support audit readiness while balancing continuous improvement with day-to-day operational delivery.
The package includes a competitive salary, pension scheme, 50% staff discount (25% for family and friends), and hybrid flexibility—three days in the London office, two working from home.
