Main Responsibilities:
Initial point of contact for Warehouse leaders and employees on daily employment matters
Administration of employee lifecycle processes, such as recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee development and offboarding, including the creation of relevant documents
Data management for employees in the warehouse and global HR systems, such as Absence Management and Oracle Fusion
Support global compensation processes by generating reports and reviewing data
Preparation of payroll in cooperation with the payroll service provider
Supporting the local HRBP with process updates and rollouts in the Warehouse
Responsible for office management related tasks and administrational processes
Qualifications
What we are looking for:
At least 3 years of HR Generalist/HR Admin experience, ideally in a similar position in a blue-collar environment
Expert knowledge of local labor law
Fluency in English; Dutch knowledge is an asset
Analytical skills, attention to detail and focus on results
Strong time management, organizational, and planning skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Good Excel skills and competent Office skills

The typical salary range for this position is: €39.538- €60.827 (paid on 13-month salaries + holiday allowance)

About this role
APL Logistics is seeking an HR Business Partner Specialist to serve as the primary HR contact for warehouse leadership and staff in Amsterdam, handling the full spectrum of employment administration from hiring through offboarding. You'll manage employee lifecycle processes, maintain data across local and global HR systems including Oracle Fusion, support payroll coordination, and take ownership of office management tasks. This is a hands-on role that requires strong organizational skills, Excel proficiency, and the ability to juggle multiple administrative priorities while keeping warehouse operations running smoothly.
The ideal candidate brings at least three years of HR generalist or HR administration experience, preferably in a blue-collar or warehouse setting where you've developed expertise in local labor law. You'll need fluency in English and ideally Dutch language skills, combined with analytical abilities, attention to detail, and genuine communication skills to work effectively with both employees and leaders.
