About this role
The Nursing and Midwifery Council's newly formed Education Solutions Team is looking for a data analyst to help build evidence-based decision-making into education regulation across the UK. You'd work with complex datasets from multiple sources—including Microsoft Dynamics 365—to identify trends, risks and opportunities in nursing, midwifery and nursing associate education. Your analysis would directly inform strategic priorities and quality assurance activities, so the role sits at the intersection of data work and real regulatory impact.
The day-to-day involves developing dashboards and reports in tools like Power BI, translating findings into clear recommendations for non-technical audiences, and collaborating across Education, Technology and Regulatory teams to solve problems. You'd also support data governance and quality processes, and help identify ways to improve how the organisation collects and uses data. This is a role where curiosity and communication matter as much as technical skill—you'll need to ask the right questions and explain what the data means to people at all levels.
The position is full-time and hybrid based in London, with a salary of £40,982–£48,961. You'll need solid experience analysing data in complex environments, working with multiple data sources, and creating visualisations and reports. Background in higher education, healthcare, regulation or business intelligence is a plus, but strong analytical skills from other sectors are equally valued. The role offers 30 days' leave, enhanced pension contributions up to 14%, life insurance, and other standard benefits.
