About this role

Fay and S&B USA Construction operate major infrastructure projects across the Mid-Atlantic—bridges, tunnels, highways, and P3 programs that require precision and accountability. As a Crane Operator, you would be responsible for safely and skillfully operating lattice boom crawlers and hydraulic boom cranes on active job sites, with pile driving experience essential to the role. Beyond operation, you'll perform routine maintenance and repairs to keep equipment in working condition and maintain the safety and quality standards the company prioritizes daily.

This position demands three years of crane operation experience, a valid driver's license with a clean record, and the ability to pass a drug screening. You'll work in the Alexandria, Virginia area and surrounding sites, regularly exposed to outdoor weather, mechanical hazards, loud noise levels, and the physical demands of heavy civil construction—including moving materials up to 50 pounds, traversing uneven terrain, and working at heights. Saturday work is required periodically. The company provides medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401K with 4% match, life and disability coverage, and paid time off.

This role suits operators with solid field experience who work safely and reliably in demanding conditions. You'll need your own reliable transportation and safety footwear, and be prepared for the intensity of active construction sites where the work environment is genuinely challenging.
