About this role

Suncorp's Injury Management Advisor role sits at the intersection of clinical expertise and claims strategy, supporting a team managing workers compensation cases in their early stages (0–26 weeks). Based in Newcastle with hybrid flexibility, this 12-month full-time position requires you to provide clinical advice on treatment and rehabilitation, interpret medical reports for reasonableness and necessity, and ensure all decisions align with legislation and evidence-based practice. You'll work closely with Claims Advisors and technical specialists to embed consistent, compliant practices across the portfolio.

The role suits someone with a degree in an Allied Health discipline and at least two years of clinical experience; workers compensation and occupational rehabilitation experience are highly valued. Beyond technical advice, you'll identify team development needs, recommend training activities, and contribute to process improvement initiatives—so coaching capability and strategic thinking matter as much as clinical judgment.

Suncorp emphasizes a people-first culture and offers hybrid work, flexible leave including 20 weeks paid parental leave, wellbeing coaching, study support, and a comprehensive benefits platform called Shine. The company also provides paid volunteer leave and donation matching, reflecting its commitment to community engagement.
