We are looking for a Senior Technical Recruiter to join our Talent Acquisition Team. This is a hybrid role based out of our Santa Clara, CA HQ or Bellevue, WA office (on-site Tuesday–Thursday), reporting to the Head of Technical Recruiting. In this role, you will execute full-cycle recruiting—identifying, engaging, and hiring top technical talent at Zscaler. By aligning with immediate team priorities and following established selection processes, you will ensure we build strong teams through inclusive and thoughtful execution.

What You’ll Do (Role Expectations)

  • Execute full-cycle recruiting for technical roles, ensuring an exceptionally positive candidate experience at every touchpoint
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and leaders to assist in the design and delivery of tailored recruitment strategies that align with immediate team priorities
  • Support hiring teams with minimal supervision from recruitment kickoff meetings through offer formulation, negotiation, and close
  • Champion inclusive hiring practices with urgency, precision, and thoughtful execution
  • Leverage strategic sourcing methodologies to build and cultivate high-quality candidate pipelines across a variety of critical technical searches in a competitive talent environment

Who You Are (Success Profile)

  • You thrive in ambiguity. You're comfortable building the path as you walk it. You thrive in a dynamic environment, seeing ambiguity not as a hindrance, but as the raw material to build something meaningful.
  • You act like an owner. Your passion for the mission fuels your bias for action. You operate with integrity because you genuinely care about the outcome. True ownership involves leveraging dynamic range: the ability to navigate seamlessly between high-level strategy and hands-on execution.
  • You are a problem-solver. You love running toward challenges because you are laser-focused on finding solutions, knowing that solving the hard problems delivers the biggest impact.
  • You are a high-trust collaborator. You are ambitious for the team, not just yourself. You embrace our challenge culture by giving and receiving ongoing feedback—knowing that candor delivered with clarity and respect is the truest form of teamwork and the fastest way to earn trust.
  • You are a learner. You have a true growth mindset and are committed to continuous development, actively seeking feedback to become a better partner and teammate. You love what you do and you do it with purpose.

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Demonstrated curiosity and active exploration of AI tools, with a proven history of integrating new technologies to enhance daily workflows and augment problem-solving
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience, education, and training.
  • 4+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience, preferably in-house within the enterprise software, cloud, or cybersecurity industry.
  • Proven hands-on experience with strategic sourcing platforms (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, SeekOut, niche tech communities, and advanced search techniques).
  • Demonstrated experience partnering closely with hiring managers and cross-functional stakeholders to drive searches and fill requisitions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate excitement around technical opportunities while delivering a responsive, candidate-first experience.
  • Ability to work on-site at our Santa Clara, CA Headquarters Tuesday through Thursday.

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Proven track record of leveraging AI-powered sourcing tools, talent intelligence platforms, or automated workflows to accelerate talent pipelines
  • Prior experience recruiting for software engineering, distributed systems, AI/ML, data science, or security research domains.
  • Proven track record of applying structured, inclusive hiring practices and building diverse talent pipelines.
  • Versatility and comfort operating in both fast-scaling high-growth environments and established enterprise organizations.

About this role

Zscaler is seeking a Senior Technical Recruiter to build talent pipelines for critical technical roles across the company's enterprise software and cybersecurity operations. You'll own full-cycle recruiting—from strategy and sourcing through offer negotiation—working closely with hiring managers to fill positions in competitive areas like software engineering, distributed systems, and AI/ML. The role is hybrid, based in Santa Clara with Tuesday–Thursday on-site requirements, and reports to the Head of Technical Recruiting.

This position suits someone with at least four years of in-house technical recruiting experience, ideally in enterprise software, cloud, or cybersecurity. You'll need hands-on proficiency with strategic sourcing platforms like LinkedIn Recruiter and SeekOut, plus the ability to partner effectively with stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. Comfort with AI tools and demonstrated curiosity about emerging technologies are important; experience actually deploying AI-powered sourcing or talent intelligence platforms would strengthen your candidacy.

The role rewards people who operate with ownership and integrity, thrive in ambiguity, and genuinely care about inclusive hiring practices. You should be comfortable working with minimal supervision, balancing high-level strategy with hands-on execution, and embracing a feedback-rich culture. The salary range is $117,250–$167,500, plus commission, bonus, and equity where applicable.
