About this role

Scottsdale Air, a Phoenix-area HVAC company operating since 1947, is looking for an apprentice to work alongside lead installers on residential ductwork projects. You'd handle material prep, assist with installations, troubleshoot issues as they arise, and interact directly with customers about their new systems. The role also includes preventive maintenance checks, repair work, and accurate documentation of each job. This is hands-on field work—you'll be climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, and regularly moving materials up to 50 pounds in outdoor conditions.

To qualify, you need a high school diploma or GED, at least two years of general construction experience, and a valid driver's license. The position demands physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely at heights and in tight spaces. Strong communication skills matter here since you'll be explaining systems to homeowners and coordinating with your lead installer throughout each project.

The role pays $60,000 to $80,000 annually and includes comprehensive health coverage, dental and vision, a 401(k) with company match, and paid time off. Scottsdale Air emphasizes ongoing training and a team-oriented workplace, so there's room to develop your HVAC skills and advance within the company.
