Description
- Provide compassionate, hands-on support with daily living activities, mobility, and personal care
- Observe residents closely and report changes in physical, mental, or emotional condition to nursing staff
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by identifying hazards and promptly reporting safety concerns to nurses
- Partner with nurses to assist with physician-ordered procedures and resident care
Qualifications
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Nurse Aide obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- BLS Provider preferred.
Education:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.

About this role
Ascension's Certified Nursing Assistant role in Wichita focuses on direct resident care in a skilled nursing setting. You'll assist with activities of daily living and mobility, maintain a safe environment by spotting and reporting hazards, and work closely with nursing staff to carry out care plans and physician-ordered procedures. The work is hands-on and observation-focused—you'll monitor residents for changes in their physical, mental, or emotional state and communicate those observations promptly to nurses.
To qualify, you'll need a current Nurse Aide certification before your hire date, a high school diploma or GED (preferred), and BLS Provider certification is preferred.
