About this role
Ascension's Milwaukee location is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join its care team in a full-time, in-office role. You'll assess patients and monitor their well-being across the health system, administering medications, performing lab work and therapeutic services, and watching for adverse reactions or complications. A significant part of the position involves patient and family education—explaining treatment plans, self-care instructions after discharge, and available resources to support ongoing recovery.
To qualify, you'll need an active LPN license from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing before your start date and must obtain BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross) within your first month. A high school diploma or one year of directly relevant nursing experience satisfies the education requirement. This role suits someone with an LPN credential who is ready to work in a structured healthcare environment and values direct patient interaction and education as core parts of nursing practice.
