About this role
Supporting the Chief Digital Officer at a leading contemporary art gallery means managing the intersection of creative operations, technology strategy, and business logistics. You'd handle the full spectrum of executive administrative work—calendar management, meeting coordination across global time zones, travel arrangements, and vendor administration—while also serving as a coordination hub between the CDO's digital and technology teams and the broader gallery. This role demands someone exceptionally organized who can anticipate needs, manage competing priorities without losing track of details, and communicate with confidence across all levels of the organization.
The ideal candidate brings at least two years of administrative or executive support experience, strong proficiency with Google Workspace and AI tools, and the judgment to handle confidential information responsibly. A background in art history, art business, or technology is valued but not required; what matters more is genuine interest in how digital innovation supports contemporary art and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset. You'll work on site five days per week in New York and should be prepared for occasional work outside standard hours on special projects.
This is a full-time position paying $60,000–$65,000 annually, paid hourly and overtime-eligible. David Zwirner welcomes candidates at any career stage—those new to the workforce, making a transition, or returning to work—who are eager to grow within the art world and develop expertise at the intersection of gallery operations and technology.
