About this role
MEMX operates U.S. equities and options exchanges, and this summer internship puts you on their technology team working with real market data. You'll help collect, organize, and validate data used for reporting and analysis, then assist with building and improving the data processes and tools that support the exchanges. The work is collaborative—you'll solve problems alongside experienced engineers, communicate findings to colleagues, and see directly how your contributions fit into a functioning financial market.
The role suits undergraduates entering their junior or senior year in computer science, data engineering, or a related field who have completed technical projects through coursework or internships. You'll need to be comfortable working in person at the Midtown Manhattan office during the summer and must have permanent residence in one of MEMX's approved remote-work states. The internship is hybrid with two days per week on-site, and pays $30 per hour.
Beyond the day-to-day work, MEMX structures its internship program around mentorship, professional development workshops, and peer connection with other interns across the company. Interns who perform well may be considered for extensions or full-time roles after graduation.
