About this role

Veritas Veterinary Partners' Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital is looking for an experienced Technician Supervisor to lead its Emergency & Critical Care team. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll spend most of your shift delivering direct patient care—anesthesia monitoring, venipuncture, IV placement, medication administration—while simultaneously directing your team's clinical workflow and serving as the first point of escalation for clinical concerns. You'll manage patient intake through discharge, assign tasks across credentialed and non-credentialed staff, and ensure smooth handoffs between shifts in a 24-hour specialty hospital environment.

The role demands strong clinical skills and proven supervisory experience. You'll need an active RVT, LVT, or CVT credential, a minimum of two years in veterinary medicine with at least one year in a lead or supervisory capacity, and demonstrated proficiency across core technician competencies. Beyond clinical competence, you'll coach team members in real time, contribute to performance management conversations, mentor new hires, and model the professional standards expected in a specialty and emergency setting. Experience in emergency or specialty hospitals and a VTS credential are preferred.

The position is full-time on a four 10-hour shift schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays. Salary ranges from $30 to $37 per hour, with additional differentials for swing shifts ($3/hour) and overnight shifts ($5/hour). This role suits a clinically strong technician who thrives in high-acuity environments and finds fulfillment in developing teammates while maintaining the operational and clinical standards of a specialty care hospital.
