Description

Credigy’s Data Science & Analytics team turns data into decisions, and trusted decisions start with trusted data. As our Data Governance Lead, you’ll shape how the organization defines, protects, and uses its data, building the foundation that powers our analytics, models, and AI initiatives. If you’re bold enough to set the standard, curious about how data really flows, and supportive of the people who depend on it, you’ll thrive here.

Please note that we are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this role. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future without employer sponsorship.

About the Role

As a leader on the Data Science & Analytics team, you’ll advance Credigy’s enterprise data governance strategy and make it real in day-to-day practice. You’ll partner with business, technology, and data and analytics teams to improve data quality, transparency, and accountability. You’ll also drive adoption of governance practices across the organization. Your work will support data and model operations, analytics, and AI initiatives, so the data behind them is reliable and scalable. Success means colleagues across Credigy know who owns their data, trust what it tells them, and can see where it came from.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the evaluation, procurement, implementation, and ongoing management of enterprise data governance solutions and supporting tools.
  • Own the Enterprise Data Glossary, continuously enhancing it while establishing clear data ownership and stewardship responsibilities across the business.
  • Build and maintain the Enterprise Data Quality Repository, including data quality rules, issue tracking, remediation, and monitoring.
  • Establish and maintain enterprise data lineage, giving teams transparency into data sources, transformations, dependencies, and downstream consumption.
  • Drive adoption of the Data Governance Policy and standards, coordinating recurring Data Governance Committee meetings, monitoring key governance metrics, and following through on actions. Partner with technology and business stakeholders on the enterprise data roles and permissions strategy so access to data is appropriate and well governed.
  • Partner with data and model operations, analytics, and AI teams to ensure the data, metadata, quality, lineage, and governance foundation supports reliable, scalable use cases.
  • Manage third-party data solutions, including evaluating new providers, overseeing implementation, addressing data usage considerations, and maintaining vendor relationships and external data integration.

What We’re Looking For

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • 5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, data quality, metadata management, or a related area
  • Experience implementing and operationalizing enterprise data governance practices and solutions
  • Strong knowledge of data governance concepts, including data ownership, stewardship, data quality, metadata, lineage, and access governance
  • Experience with Snowflake, SQL, Azure, GitHub, and third-party data governance platforms
  • Strong leadership, project management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Ability to translate governance requirements into practical business and technical processes

Preferred:

  • Financial services experience

The Credigy Experience

Credigy offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage through Cigna — with Credigy covering a significant portion of premiums — plus STD, LTD, and basic life insurance at no cost to you.
