About this role

Yondr is seeking a Global Estimating Director to lead the development and execution of cost estimating strategy across its data center construction portfolio. This is a strategic leadership role that bridges preconstruction planning with financial forecasting, requiring someone who can build and maintain a centralized estimating function while establishing comprehensive cost benchmarks to support decision-making on large, complex projects worldwide. You would own the end-to-end cost estimation process from conceptual design through final construction documents, providing early feasibility assessments for new markets and sites while continuously refining processes through data analytics and emerging technologies.

The role demands deep expertise in construction cost management—at least ten years of hands-on experience in preconstruction and cost estimation for complex projects—combined with the ability to lead people and influence across functions. You'll manage a central team of estimators, engage stakeholders from design and engineering through finance and operations, and translate cost data into strategic insights and executive-level recommendations. Proficiency in cost estimation software, strong analytical skills, and experience with benchmarking and data analysis are essential; a willingness to travel internationally and a background in construction economics, quantity surveying, or related fields (ideally with an advanced degree) will strengthen your candidacy.

This is an in-office position based in Aldie, Virginia, suited to someone ready to scale estimating capabilities for a rapidly growing global data center operator serving major technology companies.
