About this role

Sploot Veterinary Care is building a practice model designed around sustainable work and clinical quality—and they're looking for an RVT who thrives in that environment. This role blends urgent care and general practice at their Highlands Ranch location, meaning you'll encounter diverse cases without the burnout of an overbooked schedule. You'll work 10–12 hour shifts with predictable scheduling (provided 6+ weeks ahead, no overnights), supported by a well-staffed nursing team and modern tools like laparoscopic surgery capabilities and AI scribe software that actually reduce administrative friction.

Your day involves the full scope of veterinary technician work: surgical support and anesthesia monitoring, diagnostics and lab work, client communication, and clinic operations. The practice emphasizes preparation—strong pre-visit triage means you walk into appointments informed and ready. You'll need a current Colorado RVT license and at least a year of experience; emergency or urgent care background is valued but not required. What matters more is a collaborative mindset, attention to detail, and genuine care for both animals and the people who own them.

Compensation runs $26–$31/hour with holiday pay, semi-annual review cycles that include promotion pathways, and benefits that reflect a company thinking beyond the basics: full licensure reimbursement, up to $400 annual CE support, comprehensive health coverage with employer contribution, parental and bereavement leave (including pet loss), and employee pet discounts. You'll accrue PTO from day one and have access to mental health resources through their EAP. This is a role for someone who wants to practice good medicine without sacrificing their own wellbeing.
