About this role
Skilled Wound Care is looking for a Family Medicine Physician to work in skilled nursing facilities across the Brentwood area, focusing on wound care evaluation, treatment, and procedures. The role centers on surgical and sharp debridement, advanced dressing protocols, and collaborative post-acute care—with comprehensive training provided regardless of prior wound care experience. You'd apply clinical expertise directly to patient outcomes without the layers of institutional oversight that typically slow decision-making in larger health systems.
This is a Monday–Friday position with no call, no weekends, and no after-hours patient messages. The custom documentation software is designed to minimize administrative burden, so charting doesn't extend into evenings. You'll perform bedside procedures, maintain continuity of care with patients through their healing process, and gain the clinical autonomy that often draws physicians to primary care in the first place. The compensation structure is per-patient and per-procedure pay with quarterly bonuses, ranging from $200,000 to $300,000 annually with no earning cap.
The position requires an MD or DO from an accredited institution, an unrestricted state medical license, and DEA licensure or eligibility. No previous procedural or wound care background is necessary.
