About this role
Gates Hudson is looking for a Leasing Consultant at their Waterside residential community in Reston to handle the full spectrum of resident-facing work—from greeting and touring prospective residents to closing leases, managing leads, and handling service requests. You'd be the primary point of contact for prospects and current residents, responsible for presenting apartments compellingly, qualifying needs, and following up to convert interest into signed leases. The role also includes retention work, addressing resident concerns, and conducting move-in and move-out inspections.
Beyond leasing, you'd maintain the property's presentation standards by ensuring the leasing office, model units, and common areas stay tour-ready, and you'd support the broader team by helping with community events and sharing feedback on market conditions and resident satisfaction. The position requires weekend availability since most prospect activity happens then, and you'll need strong communication skills, a service-oriented mindset, and attention to detail. Prior leasing, sales, or hospitality experience is preferred but not required if you have the customer service foundation and self-motivation to succeed.
