About this role
GRVTY is modernizing space domain awareness and flight safety tools, and they need experienced software engineers to build the cloud-based systems that power this mission. You'd be developing containerized microservices on AWS in an agile environment, working on capabilities like observation scoring and RSO database integration. This is hands-on development work—designing services, writing code, running CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating on system architecture—all in support of a Major Systems Application serving national security.
The role requires at least five years of software engineering experience and solid proficiency with object-oriented languages like Java, Python, or C++. You'll need hands-on experience with microservices, containerization, RESTful APIs, and libraries like SpringBoot. A bachelor's degree in computer science or related field (or equivalent experience) is required. Critically, you must hold an active Top-Secret clearance with SCI access and a CI polygraph—if you don't already have these, this role isn't a fit.
This is an in-office contract position in Aurora, Colorado, paying $118,000–$225,560 depending on experience and qualifications. GRVTY offers standard benefits including health coverage, 401k matching, paid time off, and professional development opportunities. Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Helm, Kafka, MongoDB, Git, and Gradle would strengthen your candidacy, as would security certifications like Security+ or DoD 8570 IAT Level II.
