About this role

CHAOS Industries is seeking a senior security engineer to own the end-to-end security posture of classified defense systems. You would design system security architecture aligned with RMF and DoD/IC standards, shepherd systems through Assessment and Authorization, and then maintain continuous monitoring post-ATO. The role spans the full lifecycle: from initial architecture and hardening (Windows, Linux, network infrastructure) through vulnerability management and incident response, with responsibility across one or more classified processing environments.

This position requires seven years of Information Assurance experience (or five years with a Master's degree) and a current Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. You'll need hands-on expertise in RMF, STIGs, vulnerability scanning tools like ACAS and SCAP, and cloud security platforms in production environments. Experience across hardware, software, networking, and mission systems integration is essential. Background in military aircraft, tactical systems, or platform accreditation is valued but not required.

The role is full-time and based in Los Angeles, with a salary range of $150,000 to $190,000 plus stock options, relocation assistance, and comprehensive benefits including fully-covered medical, dental, and vision insurance. CHAOS Industries, founded in 2022 with $1 billion in funding, operates across five global offices and offers perks like free onsite lunch, unlimited PTO, and a casual work environment.
