Responsibilities of Security Officers include, but are not limited to:
- Provide excellent Customer Service to all parties encountered while on duty, including assisting with directions and general business information
- Maintain clear, accurate administrative logs at front desk pertaining to people or property including packages.
- Control access for tenants, visitors or vendors as required
- Monitor security guard cameras and conduct patrols to guard against theft and maintain a safe environment
- Respond to incidents, including emergencies at the property, and record data on incidents for building and Titan Security management
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications of Security Officers:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have experience as a door staff professional or in a receptionist, customer service, clerical, hotel or restaurant position.
- Must be comfortable around dogs, cats, and other pets/animals
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Able to acquire and maintain a valid Illinois Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC), including state accredited training requirements
- Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Able to meet physical essential functions of the job, which can include lifting 50+ lbs, completing foot patrols, walking up and down stairs, working in inclement weather
Preferred Qualifications of Security Officers:
• Bi-lingual considered a plus.
• Evening, overnight, and weekend availability required

About this role
Titan Security Group is hiring Security Officers for full-time, in-office positions in Chicago. This is a flex role requiring open or split-shift availability across first, second, and third shifts, with mandatory weekend coverage. The work combines front-desk operations, access control, and property monitoring—you'll manage visitor and vendor entry, maintain administrative logs, monitor security cameras, conduct patrols, and respond to incidents as they arise. Customer service is central to the role; you'll assist tenants and visitors with directions and general information while maintaining a safe environment and documenting all activity for management.
To qualify, you need to be at least 18 with a high school diploma or GED and prior experience in customer-facing roles such as door staff, reception, hotel, restaurant, or clerical work. You must be comfortable around animals, able to pass a background check and drug screen, and capable of meeting the physical demands—lifting over 50 pounds, regular foot patrols, stair climbing, and working outdoors in all weather. Illinois PERC certification is required, which involves state-accredited training. Bilingual skills are a plus.
