About this role
Leading Hearst Magazines' accolade sales business means owning both the strategy and the team behind one of the company's fastest-growing revenue streams. You'll set the direction for how the organization captures licensing and partnership opportunities across 30 major editorial brands, establish performance metrics, and drive long-term profitability. This role demands someone who can think strategically about market expansion while staying grounded in execution—translating vision into concrete sales goals and revenue outcomes.
Your day-to-day will split between building and mentoring a high-performing sales team, optimizing internal processes through Monday.com and data analytics, and cultivating deep relationships with both editorial stakeholders inside Hearst and brand partners outside. You'll need to navigate cross-functional collaboration with advertising, finance, and legal while identifying emerging trends and competitive opportunities that can accelerate growth. The role requires 10+ years of progressive sales leadership, ideally in media, publishing, or licensing, plus demonstrated success scaling teams and consistently hitting ambitious revenue targets.
The position is based in New York with a hybrid schedule (four days in office) and offers a competitive salary of $133,000–$143,000, along with standard benefits including medical, dental, vision coverage from day one, a 401(k) match, and access to professional development programs. This is best suited for a strategic sales leader comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment who thrives on building partnerships and influencing across senior leadership.
