About this role
DoorDash for Business is building a dedicated support operation for its corporate catering offering, and this role sits at the center of that effort. As a Live Operations Lead, you'll handle the full lifecycle of high-value catering orders—triaging support issues, proactively reaching out to customers, merchants, and dashers to resolve problems before they escalate, and documenting processes as the team tests new initiatives. The work spans multiple channels (phone, text, chat) and requires you to move fluidly between standard procedures and novel situations where you'll need to think critically and adapt on the fly.
This position suits someone with at least two years in customer support, operations, or account management who thrives in environments where priorities shift and ambiguity is the norm. You'll need strong organizational skills to juggle competing demands, attention to detail to maintain quality standards, and the ability to spot operational gaps and surface improvements to leadership. Comfort with Mac, G-Suite, and Slack is expected, and you should be ready to collaborate across DoorDash for Business teams as you help scale and refine how the company serves its corporate clients.
The role is based in Chicago and requires in-office work. The salary range is $24–$35.30 per year, with benefits including 401(k) matching, 16 weeks of paid parental leave, flexible PTO, 80 hours of paid sick time annually, and medical, dental, and vision coverage.
