About this role
Excel Creative Early Learning is seeking a Lead Teacher to work with children from infancy through age 12 at their Morehead City center. You'd be part of a team committed to creating a welcoming, caring environment, and the role offers flexibility across age groups rather than a single classroom assignment. The position is full-time, in-office, with no evening or weekend hours.
To qualify, you'll need an AAS or higher in Early Childhood Education or Child Development plus at least one year of experience in a licensed early childhood center. The company also considers candidates who've completed significant coursework toward a bachelor's degree (60+ semester hours with at least 12 in ECE/Child Development) combined with two years of center experience. The salary range is $15.50 to $19.50 per hour, based on your education and background.
The role comes with genuine support for professional growth: paid training, ongoing coaching, and a clear pathway for advancement within the organization. Benefits include health, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off and holidays, a 401(k) match, and employee childcare discounts. This would suit someone looking for stability in early childhood education with room to develop skills and move up within a supportive team structure.
