About this role
Working in Vail Health's Allergy Clinic puts you at the center of specialized patient care in a state-of-the-art mountain healthcare system. You'll handle the full scope of clinical support—from obtaining vital signs and patient histories to performing venipunctures, administering injections, and initiating IV therapy. The role demands precision with EHR documentation, coordination with providers on care plans, and the ability to monitor patients during immunotherapy and allergy testing. You'll also manage the practical side: prepping exam rooms, maintaining equipment, fielding patient calls, and ensuring supplies stay stocked.
This position suits someone with at least one year of medical assistant experience and a current certification (CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, MAC, or equivalent). If you hold an LPN, RN, or EMT/paramedic license, you qualify as well. You'll need BLS certification and fluency in English, along with a solid grasp of medical terminology, HIPAA, and OSHA standards. The work is hands-on and varies day to day—no two shifts feel identical in an allergy specialty.
Vail Health offers genuine support for mountain living: relocation and housing assistance, parental leave, childcare reimbursement, tuition assistance, and up to five weeks of paid time off in your first year. The salary ranges from $23.20 to $31 per hour depending on your credential level. If you're drawn to clinical depth in a specialty setting and value work-life balance in a mountain community, this role delivers both.
